Don’t let action items disappear into a notes doc. After every Physical Meeting in Workly, the AI extracts a list of action items and lets you turn them into real tasks under any project — in one click.
Where to find AI Action Items
Open the meeting detail page once the meeting has ended. Scroll to the AI Action Items section. Each item shows up as a card with:
- Title and description
- Suggested assignee (chip)
- Suggested priority (chip)
- Suggested due date (chip)
The assignee, priority, and due date are extracted from the conversation — no manual input needed.
Convert action items into tasks
- Click Create Tasks at the top of the AI Action Items section
- The “Create Tasks from Action Items” dialog opens
- Pick a target Project (required)
- Use the checkboxes to select the action items you want to turn into tasks
- Click Create [N] Task(s) — the count updates as you select
Workly creates a real task in the chosen project for each selected item, complete with the assignee, priority, and due date the AI extracted.
Where the tasks land
The new tasks appear in the project you selected and on the assignee’s task list. The original meeting stays linked to the action items, so you can always trace a task back to the conversation it came from.
Tips
- Review the AI’s suggested assignees and priorities before clicking Create — you can edit each task afterward, but adjusting the obvious ones in your head saves a step
- You don’t have to convert all action items — pick the ones that should turn into tracked work and leave the rest as notes
- If an attendee was mentioned by name during the meeting, Workly tries to assign the task to them automatically
