Sharing code in chat can be messy without proper formatting. Workly lets you create code snippets — formatted code blocks with a title and file type — so your code stays readable in conversations.
Create a code snippet
- In the chat input, click the snippet option
- Enter a title for the snippet
- Select the file type (txt, js, py, html, css, json, etc.)
- Paste or type your code
- Click Create
The snippet appears as a formatted file attachment in the chat, making it easy for others to read and download.
View and download snippets
Click on a shared snippet to view its full content. You can also download it as a file to your computer.
Auto-detection
When you paste multi-line content in the chat, Workly may offer to create a snippet automatically, keeping the conversation clean and the code properly formatted.
