Remove items you no longer need in Workly by deleting projects, tasks, or sections.
Delete a task
- Open the task or right-click it in the task list
- Select Delete from the actions menu
- Confirm the deletion
Deleted tasks can be restored using the undo action that appears briefly after deletion.

- Click the section menu (three dots on the section header)
- Select Delete Section
- Choose whether to delete the section’s tasks or move them
- Confirm the deletion
Delete a project
- Open the project
- Go to Project Settings
- Click Delete Project
- Confirm by typing the project name
Warning: Deleting a project permanently removes all its tasks, sections, files, and data. This action cannot be undone.
Who can delete
- Tasks — Task creator, assignee, or project admin
- Sections — Project admin
- Projects — Project owner only
Undo deletion
After deleting a task, an undo notification appears briefly. Click Undo to restore the task immediately.
