As your projects grow, Workly’s filtering and sorting tools help you find the tasks you need quickly. Apply multiple filters at once to narrow down your view to exactly what matters.
Open the filter panel
Click the Filter icon in the project toolbar to open the filter panel on the right side of your screen.
Available filters
Status
Filter tasks by their current status — To Do, In Progress, In Review, Blocked, On Hold, or Done. Select one or multiple statuses.
Priority
Filter by priority level — Urgent, High, Medium, Low, or No Priority.
Assignee
Filter to see tasks assigned to specific team members. Select one or multiple assignees to see their combined tasks.
Due date
Filter tasks by due date range. Set a from and to date to see tasks due within that window. This is useful for weekly or sprint planning.
Section
Filter by project section to focus on a specific phase, sprint, or category of work.
Updated date
Filter by when tasks were last updated. This helps you find recently changed tasks or identify stale tasks that haven’t been touched.
Custom fields
If your project has custom columns (single select, multi select), you can filter by those too. This lets you create very specific views — for example, filter by “Department: Engineering” and “Sprint: Sprint 3”.
Combine multiple filters
Apply multiple filters at the same time. For example, filter for high-priority tasks assigned to a specific person with a due date this week. Active filters are shown as chips in the filter panel.
Clear filters
Click Clear All to remove all active filters and return to the full task list. You can also remove individual filters by clicking the x on each filter chip.
Sorting
In List view, click any column header to sort tasks by that field. Click again to reverse the sort order. You can sort by:
- Task name (alphabetical)
- Status
- Priority
- Assignee
- Due date
- Created date
- Any custom column
