Control who has access to your project in Workly. Add members, remove them, promote to admin, and manage roles — all from the project settings.
Add members to a project
- Open the project
- Go to Project Settings or the Members panel
- Click Add Member
- Search for workspace members by name
- Select the members to add
New members immediately get access to all tasks and project data.
Remove members
- Open the project’s Members panel
- Find the member you want to remove
- Click Remove
- Confirm the removal
Removed members lose access to the project and all its tasks.
Promote to admin
Project admins can promote other members to admin:
- Open the Members panel
- Find the member to promote
- Click Promote to Admin
Admins can manage members, edit project settings, delete tasks, and perform all administrative actions.
Demote from admin
To remove admin privileges:
- Open the Members panel
- Find the admin to demote
- Click Demote
The user keeps project access but loses administrative privileges.
Project owner
The project creator is the project owner. The owner always has full admin access and cannot be removed from the project.
