Workly includes a built-in screen recording feature. Record your screen to demonstrate a bug, explain a feature, or create a walkthrough — then share it directly in chat or attach it to a task.
Start a screen recording
- Click the screen recording icon in the chat input area
- Choose what to record: entire screen, specific window, or browser tab
- Click Share to start recording
A recording indicator appears showing the duration and controls.
Recording controls
While recording, you’ll see a floating indicator with:
- Pause/Resume — Temporarily pause the recording
- Stop — End the recording
- Cancel — Discard the recording
- Duration — How long you’ve been recording
Share the recording
After stopping the recording, choose where to send it:
- Send to chat — Share in a channel or direct message
- Create as task — Attach the recording to a new task
Select the destination channel or person, optionally add a message, and send.
