Organise your task list in Workly by sorting tasks based on different criteria.
Sort options
Click a column header to sort by that field:
- Task name — Alphabetical order
- Due date — Nearest or farthest deadlines first
- Priority — Highest or lowest priority first
- Status — Group by completion state
- Assignee — By assigned person’s name
- Created date — Newest or oldest tasks first
- Custom fields — Sort by any custom column values
Sort direction
Click the column header once for ascending order, and again for descending order. A small arrow indicator shows the current sort direction.
Sorting with grouping
Sorting works within each group when Group By is active. Tasks within each group are sorted according to your selection.
Default sort
By default, tasks are sorted by their display order — the manual order you’ve set by dragging tasks. Applying a sort overrides this manual order temporarily.
