Workly uses roles to control what each person can do in a workspace. Understanding roles helps you manage access and permissions effectively.
Workspace roles
- Owner — The person who created the workspace. Has full control over all settings, billing, and members
- Admin — Can manage members, projects, and workspace settings. Admins are appointed by the owner
- Member — Can participate in projects, tasks, chat, and meetings. Cannot manage workspace settings

Admin
- Invite and remove workspace members
- Promote members to admin
- Create and manage projects

Member
- Join public projects
- Create projects

Project-level roles
Within each project, members can also have roles:
- Project Owner — Created the project, full control
- Project Admin — Can manage project settings and members
- Project Member — Can view and work on tasks
