When someone calls you in Workly, you receive an incoming call notification. Here’s how to handle incoming calls.
Incoming call notification
When you receive a call, a notification appears showing:
- The caller’s name and avatar
- Whether it’s a voice call or video call
- A ringing sound alert
- Accept and Decline buttons
Accept a call
Click the Accept button to join the call. You’ll be connected immediately with your microphone muted by default. Unmute when you’re ready to speak.
Decline a call
Click the Decline button to reject the call. The caller sees a “Call declined” message in the chat. They can try calling again later.
Auto-timeout
If you don’t answer within 60 seconds, the call automatically times out. The caller is notified that the call was not answered.
Missed calls
All call attempts are recorded as messages in the chat conversation. You can see missed calls in your chat history and call the person back at any time by clicking the phone or video icon in the chat header.
Calling back
To return a missed call, simply open the conversation and click the phone icon (for voice) or video icon (for video) in the chat header.
