Need a quick conversation? Workly lets you make one-to-one voice calls directly from any direct message conversation — no scheduling required.
Start a voice call
- Open a direct message conversation
- Click the phone icon in the chat header
- Workly connects the call automatically
The other person receives an incoming call notification with your name and avatar. They can accept or decline the call.
Incoming call notification
When someone calls you, a full-screen notification appears with:
- Caller’s name and avatar
- A pulsing Accept button
- A Decline button
- A ringing sound alert
If you don’t answer within 60 seconds, the call times out automatically.
During the call
Once connected, you have access to these controls:
- Mute / Unmute your microphone
- Select audio device — choose input and output devices
- End call — hang up the call
You are muted by default when joining a call for privacy. Unmute yourself when you’re ready to speak.
Call history
A message is posted in the chat when a voice call starts, so you always have a record of the call in your conversation history.
